002. intro + reflection

Hello everyone!

My name is Louise and I am a second year graduate student at Columbia University. I’m very excited to be taking Japanese this semester as it is a language I've been wanting to learn since childhood.

Although the past four weeks have had their challenging moments, I have also learned a lot. I’ve realized that I tend to have an easier time with speaking/listening comprehension than writing/reading comprehension as my speed in terms of hiragana recognition and reproduction can be quite slow.

However, there is little that I can do to help myself improve in these respects aside from practice, practice, and more practice.

がんばります!ᕙ(⇀‸↼‶)ᕗ
